Where did September go?

I swear, last month seems to have gone by in a blur and flurry of chaos for me. Maybe it's because I've been struggling to get used to the "new"job, having both boys in school and adding all of their new extra curricular activities, or maybe I'm just getting old. I really hope it's the first! LOL

With all the new activities in my life so many things have fallen behind...things like housework, laundry and, most importantly, my scrapping! Eek! Even the pages I've managed to scrap haven't been posted in my galleries or on my blog...now you KNOW life is hectic if it comes to that! So, I've got lots of catching up to do...here are a couple of pages I've done this month:

Summer Fun was created using Andika Designs kit "Green Tomatoes"

This one is using Andika Designs "Green Tomatoes" & "Embroidered Alpha" as well as Kris Myer's Vinyl Badge Templates Vol. 2

UGH!

You know what really sucks? When real life gets in the way of my scrap time! LOL The past couple of weeks have been a little more than hectic around my house...I started a "new" job and now work everyday, my wonderful husband has been working 2 jobs for the past week - his old job, which he plans on quitting, and his new job, which he wants to make sure he likes. I totally understand that "wants to make sure he likes" part, but boy has it been a PITA! The boys are so confused that they don't know if they are coming or going and Liam just wants to start school already! LOL My baby, Conor, starts preschool in 6 days and THAT is enough to put any mother into a tailspin! I've got tons of pictures just yelling at me through my EHD that they MUST be scrapped, and frankly, I've not had the time or energy to do it lately! BUT, tonight I sat myself down and made myself get to scrappin' and you know what I discovered? Scrapping really does keep you sane! It's been wonderful getting into the groove of putting my pictures into my own little work of art. Tonight I've been working with a fun, fun kit by Rachel's Designs, "My Little Lump".

Hasn't it got terrificly fun colors? I was doing a challenge at Digital Candy - their Bubble Gum Challenge - and had so much fun putting this LO together!

Pefect kit for this fun photo of Liam!

In all my crazyness of late, I realized I forgot to post a sneak peek of my newest project. It's a super sweet paper pack called, "Sweetness and Light" and here is a glimps of one of the papers:

It's almost ready to roll out, so watch for it here, soon!

Heritage pages

OK, so it's no secret that I LOVE to scrap. My family gets tired of seeing me at my computer all the time and having a camera stuck in their faces 24/7. I guess I can't blame them...well, sort of. I know that one day they will thank me. The way I know this is by how I feel when I look at photos from "yesteryear" of my family. I so wish that someone had taken the time to write names, places, dates, etc. on the photos. I guess the upside of that, is that when I get my hands on these photos, I get to call family members and ask if they remember. I always feel a sense of "goose pimply" pride when I work on one of these photos. Restoring it, saving it on my EHD and labeling it with as much information as I can so that one day, when my boys are grown, they can look back and see the people that were the foundation of our family. After all, that's why we scrap, isn't it??

So, that brings me to the GORGEOUS photo of my Gram and Mom that I worked on today. I feel so much pride in the fact that I could "clean" this photo up a bit ( there were LOTS of scratches, markings, etc.) and then turn it into a beautiful LO that my boys and their children can appreciate!

So...without further rambling, here is the photo:

Isn't it outstanding?! And here is the LO:

The LO was created using Scrap4Brains stunning kit, Tapestry (click the pic to get to the kit!):

And that's about all from me today. I'm still working on so many other projects and one of them will be a little freebie for all of you! A gorgeous Paper Pack...watch for a sneak peek tomorrow!

Happy Scrapping!

LOTD!!

Yipee! I am so very excited to say that I was honored with the LOTD at the awesome site, weScrap yesterday. A LO I did of my little charmer, Conor, was chosen.

Here's the LO:

It was created using Rachel's Designs awesome kit, My Little Lump.

And Scrap4Brains cute little alpha, Frosted Cookie Alpha:

It's so exciting when you can show off talented designers kits this way, and get a little recognition for your own work, isn't it?!

I've really been on a scrapping roll here lately and have so many new LO's to show off - I guess I had better get busy posting, hadn't I?! Gotta love the summer when there is so much going on and so many pictures to take. I'm working on a cute little hybrid album right now, too. My very first attempt at hybrid. I got the cutest little template set the other day at PDW. It's templates especially made for those little vinyl badge "holders" - you know the ones that you get on the key chains you wear around your neck...ok, let me show you:

See - now won't that make a cute little album? I'm doing it to send to my dad, who is in a care home right now, so that he can have pictures of his little squirts at his fingertips without taking up much room in his crowded quarters. Be watching in the next few days to see some photos of my efforts! If you are interested in the templates you can find them at PDW - Kris Meyers made these little gems (just click the photo to take you to her store):

OK, off to scrap some more! Have a great day and happy scrapping!
